ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL LAKE TAPPS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Job Summary: The Elementary School Principal is responsible for providing visionary leadership to ensure the academic and social-emotional success of all students. The principal oversees all aspects of school operations, including curriculum implementation, faculty and staff management, student discipline, community engagement, and compliance with district, state, and federal policies. Primary Responsibilities: Leadership and Administration Develop and implement a strategic vision for the school that fosters academic excellence and a positive learning environment, based on the strategic priorities of the Board of Directors. Oversee daily school operations, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment for students and staff. Supervise, evaluate, and support faculty and staff to promote professional growth and high-quality instruction. Establish and maintain clear policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with district and state guidelines. Manage the school budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure compliance with financial policies. Work collaboratively with district and building administrators to provide leadership throughout the district. Academic and Curriculum Development Collaborate with teachers and instructional leaders to implement curriculum standards and best teaching practices. Use data-driven decision-making to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by supporting professional development opportunities for staff. Ensure effective implementation of special education and intervention programs to support diverse learners. Student and Community Engagement Maintain a positive school culture that promotes student engagement, equity, and inclusion of all students. Address student behavior concerns in a fair, consistent, and proactive manner. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and school initiatives. Establish partnerships with community organizations to enhance student learning and support services. Compliance and Safety Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal educational policies and regulations. Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and crisis response strategies. Promote a safe and respectful school climate through proactive behavior management strategies. Qualifications: Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field. Valid state admin certification/licensure. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in school administration. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices. Experience with budgeting, staff supervision, and school operations. Preferred Qualifications: Experience as an elementary school administrator in grades PK-3. Demonstrated ability to foster a positive school culture. Proficiency in educational technology and data analysis. Work Environment: The principal will work in a school setting, interacting with students, teachers, staff, and community members. The role requires flexibility, problem -solving skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
