Our mission at the Louisiana Veterans Homes is to serve the Veteran population of Louisiana by providing nursing assistant supervisor services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of experience in patient care; OR Possession of a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or graduation from an Emergency Medical Technician Program plus two years of experience in patient care; OR Completion of an accredited registered or practical nursing program plus one year of experience in patient care. NOTE: Positions at facilities receiving certain Medicaid or Medicare funds require that applicants possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Nursing operations include supervision and care of one of four care units, ensuring coverage and high-quality resident care in a 156-bed long-term care facility. Leads and evaluates CNA staff performance, provides feedback to the Nursing Assistant Supervisor 2, recommends disciplinary actions when needed, and handles conflict resolution. Quality Assurance, promoting continuous improvement in nursing assistant care, delivery and adherence to policy and procedure standards. Reports resident complaints and incidents, collaborating with the Nursing Assistant Supervisor 2 to ensure care and resident safety Nursing Assistant Services, escorts/transports patients to examinations, clinics, recreation sites, and other areas as needed. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Nursing Assistant Supervisor 1, depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Compensation: This position is eligible for Special Entrance Rate for Nursing Assistant Supervisor 1 - $1,191.80 BI-WEEKLY / $14.89 PER HOUR, shift differential, and Premium Pay of $5.00/HR for hours worked only. Work Schedule: 6 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.to 6:30 a.m. shifts to include every other weekend and some holidays.
