Sanitation Technician-Full Time-Year Round

Starting Salary - 18.00 per hour4/10 work week 6a-4:30p Weekends and Holiday availability required This is a full time-year round positionDuties and Responsibilities: • Gathers and carries household waste from individual yards or locations along route and dumps refuse onto truck. • Dumps contents into opening in enclosed truck body. • Unloads and cleans garbage truck at dump site. • Schedules and maintains records of all maintenance of sanitation vehicles. • Monitors landscape debris site and ensures cleanliness. • Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Valid Florida driver license. Physical Demands: • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. • The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. • The employee is occasionally required to sit. • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Work Environment: • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat and vibration. • The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. • This job is performed regardless of weather conditions; the employee may be exposed to inclement weather. • You must be legal to work in the United States. Must be able to pass a pre-employment MVR, Background Check and Drug Screen. Shift is 4 days a week 10 hours per day Must have weekend and holiday availability.
