OverviewSystem One is seeking a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to support operations within an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating proactive maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and effective execution of work.The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and familiarity with CMMS systems.Responsibilities Evaluate non-emergency work requests and develop detailed scopes of work. Inspect job locations to determine labor requirements, skillsets, parts, materials, equipment, and special tools needed to safely and efficiently complete work. Estimate labor hours and resource needs for planned maintenance activities. Gather and review technical documentation including drawings, schematics, OEM manuals, spare parts lists, and internal knowledgebase records. Verify parts availability prior to scheduling work and arrange for special tools or auxiliary equipment as required. Maintain an organized and prioritized work order backlog. Update and improve Job Plans through continuous improvement processes. Conduct weekly planning and scheduling meetings with Production to establish priorities and adjust maintenance activities as needed. Develop and manage a Weekly Technician Schedule utilizing 100% of available technician labor hours. Improve planning and scheduling effectiveness through maintenance metrics review. Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting files. Train site employees on CMMS use and ensure system integrity and proper utilization. Required Qualifications 1-3 years of maintenance scheduling/planning experience OR 5-10 years of experience as a machine repair technician (or combination of both) Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance systems/CMMS platforms Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships Preferred Qualifications Experience developing job plans and scheduling maintenance work Project management and/or capital project experience SAP experience CMRP certification Desire to grow into leadership responsibilities Core Competencies Drive & Motivation Interpersonal Skills Task Management Strategic Thinking Customer Focus Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThis role is performed in a manufacturing environment and requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces. Exposure to loud noise, outdoor weather conditions, hazardous materials, and slippery surfaces may occur.
