AWS Cloud Architect - Application Migration

CTG is seeking a highly experienced AWS Cloud Architect to lead enterprise application migrations to AWS Outposts. This role is ideal for a hands-on cloud leader with deep AWS architecture expertise and strong Java/J2EE enterprise application experience. Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 12 months What You'll Do: Lead application migration strategy and execution to AWS Outposts Develop migration blueprints, architecture patterns, and AWS-approved design frameworks Architect hybrid cloud solutions across compute, storage, networking, and security Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation Implement automation strategies for provisioning, scaling, and patching Apply GenAI-driven code compilation and deployment techniques to accelerate migrations Modernize and refactor large-scale J2EE enterprise applications Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud governance What You Bring: 8+ years designing and developing enterprise J2EE applications Deep hands-on experience with AWS architecture and AWS Outposts deployments AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) Strong Java stack expertise (Spring, Hibernate, JPA, REST/SOAP services) Experience with WebLogic/WebSphere and clustering architectures Proven experience leading hybrid cloud and enterprise migration initiatives Strong understanding of DevOps, Agile, and Test-Driven Development Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred. AWS certification (Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) required.
