Job Description

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possible Extension)Job Purpose Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future. The Client is unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship. Job Purpose Develop and test new circuit blocks as part manufacturing a medical device. Independently or as a member of a team directs, develops, concepts, and executes specifications, designs, plans and builds of PCBA's as part of a medical device. Key Responsibilities 1. Leads or participates on project teams to develop clear specifications, evaluates feasibility of concepts, and provides formal estimates for electrical designs. 2. Coordinates, monitors, and documents project designs, protocols, technical documents and statistical analysis. 3. Creates electrical designs utilizing the departments' standard development tools and procedures. 4. Translates hardware requirements into an executable test protocal and performs bench testing to confirm product meets requirements. 5. Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate status and results 6. Works with project teams that include Designers, Engineers and Technicians in the design, assembly, and debug of equipment. 7. Designs electrical systems and specifies electrical components. 8. Creates electrical engineering test set-ups and performs testing using oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters. 9. Completes FDA/QSR equipment requirements by assisting in the creation of specifications and qualifications. 10. Provides training as required to ensure that the controls systems can be operated effectively. 11. Influences and defines functional, departmental and divisional procedures through involvement with cross-functional engineering initiatives. Qualifications 5 - 8 Years with BS, 3 - 6 Years with MS, 0 - 3 Years with PhD Electrical Engineering or Biomedical degrees only. Any work within the medical device industry. Any work in a highly regulated industry such as automotive or aerospace. Additional Job Specific Requirements: Any experience with design verification testing (DVT) Any experience writing test protocols. Any experience with statistical analysis, preferably minitab.
