Maintenance Worker - Evening Hours

Job Summary The Maintenance Worker will report directly to the Somerset Site Director and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall condition of the office building and related facilities. This position involves carrying out routine cleaning duties, operating a variety of cleaning equipment, and ensuring a safe, well-kept environment. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to support the efficient operation of the site. Duties / Responsibilities Sweep, mop, wax, and polish floors. Dust and polish woodwork, fixtures, and equipment. Clean windows and walls. Vacuum and spot clean carpets/upholstery. Cleans and maintains supplies in restrooms. Empties and cleans waste receptacles. Picks up trash from grounds. Minimum Job Requirements: Education/Experience: A High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) AND a minimum of two years janitorial experience (preferred). Required Skills and Abilities: Detail-oriented and professional. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Basic understanding of power tools. Proactive and takes the initiative. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and reliably. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, including delegation of tasks when appropriate. Required Clearances and Documentation: Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation Act 31/Act 126 Clearance Mandated Reporter Training Act 34 Clearance Pennsylvania State Police Background Check (Criminal History) Act 114 Clearance FBI Fingerprint Act 33 Clearance Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Physical Requirement: Prolonged periods of standing, bending, stretching, and reaching. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 100 lbs. without assistance. Work Schedule: Afternoon/evening hours five (5) days per week. Three or four-hour shifts, depending on building needs.
