Building Maintenance Worker I

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Works alone or assists with the repair and maintenance of structural woodwork and cabinets. Performs general repairs and maintenance on existing equipment and buildings. MONDAY-FRIDAY, 7:30AM-4:00PMESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist or performs alone to build, repair, and install counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, etc. Performs routine maintenance work. Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings (such as sheet rock). Installs window glass in windows or doors as needed. Installs venetian blinds, curtain rods, wall fans, hang pictures, for tenants in Pathfinder residential units. Assist in and/or repairs plumbing equipment as directed. Paint woodwork, walls and buildings. Repairs roofs as needed. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS APPLICABLE BACKGROUND CHECKS AND DRUG SCREEN. ANY OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT WILL BE BASED ON THE RESULTS OF BACKGROUND CHECKS AND DRUG SCREEN.
