Summary: The Management Analyst is responsible for performing analytical and technical duties to support the operations and services of the Municipal Services & Operations department. Key responsibilities include conducting organizational evaluations, carrying out studies, preparing reports, and presenting findings. The analyst will provide essential staff support to the department director and the leadership team. This position will assist the MSO Leadership Team with projects aimed at implementing the strategic plan and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the analyst will maintain APWA accreditation, provide safety support to the department, and contribute to the strategies for learning and development within the department. Responsibilities: Conduct a variety of organizational and operational studies and analyses; prepare and present related reports, documentation and correspondence; recommend modifications to a variety of departmental programs, policies and procedures as appropriate. Research and analyze various organizational operations for efficient and effective services; calculate mathematical and statistical data; review historical data, information, and reports. Oversee selected grant processes administration, including research, writing, monitoring, and reporting. Compose, compile, prepare, review, and present various reports and documents of findings and results; maintain related records and files. Participate in the development and administration of the department budget; assist with the monitoring of expenditures; manage specific purchasing operations and inventory control systems of supplies, equipment, and other resources as assigned; direct and implement adjustments as necessary. Manage the department learning and competency program, agency accreditations, including related management systems, the safety program and training, and the in-house certification program. Manage the implementation of administrative policies and programs in compliance with national accreditation standards. Provide supervision to support staff, including but not limited to Project Management Coordinators, Administrative Technicians, or Administrative Specialists. Other duties as necessary. Qualifications: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience Two years of increasingly responsible experience in public administration, business administration or a related field. Training Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a related field. A Master's degree in public administration or a related field preferred. License or Certificate Possession of a valid driver's license.
