Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician - South Portland, ME

A pharmacy technician position is available on a 13-week contract in South Portland, ME, supporting long-term care pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities: Fill prescriptions and prepare medication under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Prepackage medications following established standards and government regulations. Assist in final checking of filled prescriptions to ensure accuracy. Coordinate the timely delivery of medications to customers. Support inventory management including receiving, rotating stock, and assisting in physical inventory counts. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while ensuring equipment calibration and safety checks are performed. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Current ME pharmacy technician license in-hand is required. Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings preferred. Familiarity with prescription filling processes and regulatory compliance. Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team. Commitment to maintaining accuracy and high quality in medication dispensing. Ability to work rotating weekends, Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM.
