Job Title: Otolaryngologist (ENT Surgeon) - VA Medical Center (Onsite) Location: Columbia, SC Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Flexible, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off Position Summary: The VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC, seeks a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist to provide onsite ENT surgical and clinical care. This role offers a flexible schedule (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off) and requires an unrestricted medical license valid in any U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth. The Otolaryngologist will perform a full range of ENT surgical procedures and comprehensive clinical care for veterans. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct, comprehensive Otolaryngology services, including outpatient care and scheduled surgeries. Perform a variety of ENT surgical procedures, including but not limited to: Thyroidectomy Parotidectomy Sinus Surgery Head/Neck Cancer Removal Pan Endoscopy Conduct postoperative evaluations for ENT patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and on general wards. Attend and contribute to morbidity and mortality conferences, providing necessary case information for departmental reports. Maintain punctual attendance for scheduled clinics and surgeries, ensuring physical presence in the clinic or operating room at the documented start time. Qualifications: Board Certification in Otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent. Completion and upkeep of all continuing education courses required for maintaining certification.
