HR Generalist & Internal Recruiter Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment and genuinely enjoys recruiting top talent? StaffBuffalo is partnering with a rapidly expanding construction organization in Western New York to hire an HR Generalist & Internal Recruiter, offering $80,000–$90,000 annually. This role is a true 50/50 blend of Human Resources and Recruiting, ideal for someone who enjoys both building strong internal systems and actively sourcing quality candidates. You will lead internal recruitment efforts, particularly for skilled trades professionals, while also supporting core HR functions including benefits administration, payroll coordination, PTO tracking, and compliance initiatives. This organization is in growth mode and is on target to double in size over the next two years. They are looking for a proactive, organized, and outgoing HR professional who can confidently attend job fairs, source candidates through recruitment tools as well as outreach through social media platforms, partnering directly with ownership and leadership. This is an on-site position in Western New York, with flexibility for external recruiting events and job fairs. Responsibilities: Lead full-cycle internal recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers Actively source skilled trades professionals, including Electricians, Foremen, Project Managers, and Estimators Develop creative sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, workforce development programs, and job fairs Manage employee benefits administration, working directly with insurance brokers and supporting open enrollment Oversee payroll coordination (under 50 employees), including PTO tracking and 401k contributions Support employee relations, onboarding, OSHA training coordination, and HR compliance initiatives Maintain organized HR records, policies, and internal documentation to support company growth Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in Human Resources with strong recruiting experience required Proven success sourcing candidates in skilled trades, construction, or technical environments preferred Experience managing benefits, payroll coordination, PTO tracking, and 401k contributions Comfortable attending job fairs, workforce development events, and other recruiting initiatives Strong online sourcing skills and familiarity with recruiting platforms Outgoing, professional personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Benefits: $80,000–$90,000 annual salary Blue Cross Blue Shield High-Deductible health plan with HSA contribution support Dental and Vision coverage 401k plan plus Safe Harbor profit sharing PTO Growth opportunity within a rapidly expanding organization Direct access to leadership and the ability to build scalable HR processes /#INDSBHIGH Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 per year
