Hours of Work: 7 P - 7 A Days of Week: 3 X 12 Work Shift: 12 X 3 Night (United States of America) Job Description: Your Role: As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will play a critical role in providing essential respiratory care through various therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, such as ABG, PFTs, and ventilator support. You'll deliver oxygen and aerosol therapy, and conduct bronchial hygiene therapy and airway maintenance for both adults and infants. Under the guidance of the department's medical director, you'll ensure high-quality patient care adhering to established protocols. You must possess the knowledge, skills, and compassion to cater to patients across age spectrums while being sensitive to their diverse needs related to age, sex, race, and culture. Your Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program Current Basic Life Support certification required Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification to be obtained within 1 year of hire Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing by the Texas Medical Board Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care At least 6 months of respiratory care experience Your Responsibilities: Administer respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, IPPB, incentive spirometry, and mechanical ventilation. Conduct and report on cardiopulmonary diagnostics like arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, and pulmonary function studies. Perform detailed treatment evaluations through bedside assessments, patient interviews, and an examination of medical records. Effectively interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data to inform patient care. Assemble, check, operate, and troubleshoot all relevant cardiopulmonary equipment. Participate actively in infection control, safety measures, and quality assurance initiatives. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas. Utilize effective customer service strategies to enhance patient satisfaction.
