Your Impact Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, this is a sole practitioner palliative care position requiring confidence, autonomy and strong clinical judgement. You'll play a central role in supporting people and their families through some of life's most challenging moments. In this role you will: Deliver holistic palliative and end-of-life care Support symptom management and advance care planning with patients and families Travel for outreach visits to surrounding rural communities Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, social workers, dietitians, oncology specialists and community nursing teams to ensure coordinated care Provide culturally safe and respectful care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients The role is largely community-based, with the service conveniently located close to town and free parking available. Due to the level of clinical judgement required, this role is not suitable for new graduates. Support and Development Although this is a role requiring independence, you won't be doing it alone. You'll receive a comprehensive local and virtual orientation, along with access to palliative care-specific education and online learning. A Clinical Nurse Consultant will provide ongoing guidance, and you'll be connected to a strong regional palliative care network that encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing.
