Join Jacobs as a Specialist in Transmission Outreach and play a vital role in enhancing our electric transmission environmental planning portfolio. In this position, you will contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams alongside engineers, scientists, and project managers, engaging with unique challenges in the electric transmission and related sectors. Key Responsibilities: Assess public engagement and outreach needs for client projects, developing tailored Communications and Engagement Plans. Strategize effective ways to communicate project details to both internal and external stakeholders through various mediums, including traditional publications and social media. Collaborate in the creation of outreach materials that meet client standards. Engage with regulators, local stakeholders, and internal teams, both in-person and virtually. Support the organization and hosting of in-person and virtual open house events to share project information and gather public feedback. Build strong client relationships by thoroughly understanding their needs and expectations regarding deliverables. Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in communications, journalism, public policy, or a related discipline. Over 10 years of relevant experience in electric transmission, renewable energy, offshore wind, or a related sector. Preferred Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities. Exceptional organizational skills with a team-oriented approach and proven ability to build consensus. Certifications like Certified Public Participation Professional (CP3), Master Certified Public Participation Professional (MCP3), or similar qualifications are a plus.
