RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Support residents with mobility: transferring, repositioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids as needed. Take and record residents' vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration) and monitor for changes. Serve meals and assist with feeding residents requiring help; monitor and record intake/output as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization: change bed linens, clean and care for resident rooms and common areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. Assist with incontinence care and maintain residents' dignity and comfort. Observe and report residents' physical and emotional status; provide companionship and emotional support. Communicate effectively with residents, families/POAs, and the care team regarding resident needs and changes. Follow all facility policies regarding infection control, safety procedures, and resident confidentiality. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid CNA certification in Connecticut. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively. Compassionate, resident-centered attitude with excellent interpersonal skills. Physical stamina and ability to perform lifts, turns, and assist residents - including bending, standing, and walking as required. Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment preferred but not required. Dependable attendance and reliability with a collaborative spirit while respecting resident dignity and safety.
