Dodge Construction Network is on the lookout for a dedicated Data Management Specialist to ensure the highest quality, accuracy, and integrity of our data assets. In this pivotal role, you will monitor data quality, drive data improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline data workflows. We are seeking a candidate with strong SQL skills, experience in data visualization tools like AWS QuickSight or Tableau, and the ability to work with large datasets to enhance data integrity. As a Data Management Specialist, you'll partner with the Data Quality Management team to uphold robust data governance and align our data assets with strategic business goals. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Operational Performance Management. Location This is a remote, home-office-based opportunity, and we are considering candidates located in the continental United States. While there is a preference for applicants in the Eastern Time Zone, candidates from other areas will still be considered. Travel Requirements Expected travel is up to 10% for this role. Essential Functions Continuously monitor and analyze data quality to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and gaps according to business rules. Develop and implement processes for maintaining data integrity. Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and validation. Analyze large datasets for patterns and areas of improvement. Support data migration, transformation, and reconciliation projects. Create interactive dashboards and reports using AWS QuickSight and Tableau. Present data insights to stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decisions. Manage sourcing, structuring, and standardizing data assets. Collaborate with teams to enhance data collection processes. Utilize automation tools to streamline data quality tasks. Engage with internal stakeholders across various departments to meet data needs. Ensure compliance with data governance policies in line with industry standards. Contribute to best practices for data stewardship within the organization. Education Requirement BA/BS Degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills 3-5 years of experience in data stewardship or a related role, ideally within a data-driven organization. Proficient in SQL for data manipulation and troubleshooting. Experience with AWS QuickSight or Tableau is preferred. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas. Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Knowledge of data governance and quality frameworks. Ability to work with large datasets to derive actionable insights. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with teams. Self-starter with a proactive approach to data stewardship. Preferred Experience, Knowledge and Skills Familiarity with the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) is a plus. This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary based on factors such as geography, candidate experience, and other job-related aspects. Our compensation package includes a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
