Job Summary This position reports to the Area Gas Operations Manager (AGOM) and plays a crucial role in overseeing the operation and maintenance of landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS). The successful candidate will supervise Gas Technician I and II positions, as well as manage contractor activities to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of these systems. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain GCCS efficiently to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize performance. Calibrate and maintain electronic data collection devices to enhance landfill gas (LFG) collection. Regularly collect data from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring locations, and validate tuning strategies for optimal LFG collection. Implement preventative maintenance for GCCS and take ownership of assigned systems. Install and maintain liquid management systems, troubleshooting when necessary. Conduct wellfield monitoring and make tuning adjustments, ensuring data collection and field maintenance are performed thoroughly. Engage in hands-on construction using PVC and HDPE piping materials for system maintenance. Troubleshoot GCCS and related systems effectively. Train and mentor Gas Technicians in operations and maintenance, evaluating their performance. Manage contractor activities for projects. Support project management for GCCS design and construction initiatives. Participate in developing capital and expense budgets related to landfill gas. Be available for on-call response to GCCS malfunctions as needed. Review and analyze operating data while developing reports; ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (accredited) required. At least 5 years of experience in landfill gas or related fields. Valid and unrestricted driver's license. Physical Requirements The role involves a combination of office and field environments.
