CDL-A Over-the-Road Truck Driver (m/w/d)

Class A CDL Truck Driver Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and professional Class A CDL truck driver for long-distance driving. In this role, you will be responsible for timely delivery of cargo while adhering to traffic laws and ensuring safety throughout your journey. Your expertise in securing and balancing cargo is essential to prevent accidents during transit. You will maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations and perform daily maintenance on your truck, including refueling and addressing any mechanical issues before each trip. Route planning and delivery schedule adherence are key components of this position. Key Responsibilities: Engage in long-distance driving activities across the United States and potentially Canada. Enjoy the benefit of being home every other weekend unless otherwise arranged. Capable of sitting behind the wheel of a Tractor-Trailer for extended periods (8 hours of driving before a mandatory 30-minute break). Lift and transport loads of 50 lbs or more with ease. Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) in both Interstate and Intrastate Commerce. Communicate and coordinate effectively with dispatchers for optimal delivery logistics. Comply with and observe all relevant traffic laws and regulations. Secure cargo properly and arrange it within the vehicle to ensure safe transport. Efficiently handle landing gear on trailers for loading and unloading. Maintain a detailed and accurate log of working hours in alignment with regulatory requirements. Address any mechanical issues with the vehicle prior to driving. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while adhering to trucking rules and regulations. Report any defects, accidents, or violations promptly. Conduct daily maintenance of the truck and trailers, including cleaning and organizing. Interact with customers professionally to foster positive relationships. Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safety for yourself and others. Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports diligently. Record cargo deliveries accurately for tracking purposes. Required Qualifications: Must possess a valid Class A CDL. Able to plan trips efficiently and effectively. Strong ability to work independently. Effective communication skills with dispatch and other team members. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations is essential. A minimum of 1 year of driving experience is required. Physical Requirements: Ability to handle physical demands, including bending and sitting for long durations. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Must maintain a valid and current Federal Medical card.
