Support residents with mobility tasks including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation. Record and monitor vital signs and observe any changes in residents’ conditions. Serve and assist with meals, ensuring proper intake and output records are maintained. Maintain a clean and safe environment by providing basic room care and changing bed linens. Facilitate incontinence care while ensuring the dignity and comfort of residents. Provide companionship and emotional support, keeping the supervising nurse informed of changes. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team regarding resident care. Adhere to all facility policies related to infection control, safety, and confidentiality. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Connecticut CNA certification. Strong ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Compassionate approach to resident care and strong communication skills. Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting, moving, and supporting residents. Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not mandatory. Reliability and strong attendance are vital. Ability to work collaboratively with a care team while respecting resident dignity and safety.
