Maintain daily communication with dispatch regarding assignment details and scheduling changes. Document and report all job-related expenses. Plan and navigate routes effectively while avoiding restricted areas. Understand and interpret road signs to ensure safe driving practices. Manage time efficiently to prevent delays in pickups and deliveries. Complete necessary paperwork daily, including logs and expense reports. Engage professionally with all stakeholders including dispatchers, shippers, and law enforcement. Inspect cargo for safety and stability as required. Operate necessary equipment and manage loads according to safety procedures. Be prepared to work flexible hours and adapt to changing conditions. Qualifications: Valid Commercial Drivers License Class A (CDL A). Minimum six months of over-the-road tractor/trailer experience. Strong understanding of CDL A driving regulations. Meet physical qualifications as stipulated in DOT reg. 391.41. Ability to handle a 53-foot trailer safely in diverse traffic settings. Ability to operate a pallet jack effectively. Successfully pass a road test.
