Team/Role Overview: Join our Acquisition & Activation team, part of the Consumer Growth organization, dedicated to helping new users quickly realize the core value of Coinbase. Our goal is to transform sign-ups into activated and long-term engaged customers through a data-driven and experimental approach in optimizing the user activation journey from the moment they access coinbase.com. As a Product Manager in Growth Activation, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the roadmap for our activation experiences. Collaborating closely with engineering, design, and data teams, your focus will be on enhancing activation rates, expediting the first transaction process, and fostering sustained engagement. Your Responsibilities: Assist in crafting the strategy and roadmap for New User Experience, User Lifecycle, Multi-Product Discovery, and New User Incentives, facilitating seamless KYC completion, payment method addition, and investment initiation on Coinbase. Evaluate activation funnels and dashboards to pinpoint user drop-off points, assess opportunities, and propose effective, data-backed solutions. Produce clear product requirements and user stories while collaborating with Engineering and Design to implement improvements in NUX flows, incentives, and UX. Lead A/B testing throughout a user's first 30 days—covering onboarding and incentives—working alongside Data Science and experimentation teams to analyze results and suggest next steps. Work with cross-functional teams (Identity, Onboarding, Payments, Incentives, Growth Foundations) to ensure activation experiences are cohesive, high-quality, and consistent across platforms. Contribute to operational excellence for Activation services, partnering with engineering to maintain reliability for key new user pathways. What You Bring: 3+ years of product management experience or related fields (growth, operations, program management, or analytics) in consumer products. Experience with user funnels (signup, onboarding, checkout), using data to understand drop-offs and measure product impact. Comfortable with experimentation and basic analytics, including success metrics and A/B test interpretation. Strong collaboration skills, effectively partnering with Engineering, Design, and cross-functional teams to align on priorities. Excellent communication skills, able to distill ambiguous problems into clear statements, PRDs, and actionable next steps. A genuine interest in crypto and financial products, with a quick learning ability regarding our users and ecosystem. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in growth, activation, onboarding, or lifecycle roles focused on acquisition to activation or early retention. Familiarity with experimentation and lifecycle tools (in-app experimentation platforms, A/B testing, or CRM systems). Experience with user incentives, referrals, or gamification programs for new users. Hands-on experience in the crypto space (buying, earning, or on-chain activities).
