In this role, you will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations on a wide range of plant equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, and other systems critical to water and wastewater operations.Key Responsibilities:Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment in wastewater treatment plants and lift stationsTroubleshoot equipment issues and perform corrective repairs to minimize downtimePerform preventive and predictive maintenance on pumps, compressors, valves, piping, gearboxes, and other related machineryOperate and maintain tools, hoists, and other lifting equipment safelyAssist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systemsMaintain accurate maintenance records and service logsEnsure compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulationsCollaborate with plant operators, electricians, and engineers to support overall facility operationsParticipate in emergency on-call rotation as neededQualifications:High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in wastewater, water treatment, or industrial environmentsStrong knowledge of pumps, valves, gearboxes, mechanical seals, and related equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical drawingsBasic welding, fabrication, or pipefitting skills a plusValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights when required
