Responsibilities Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown in a hospital setting Med/Surg patient population in a stepdown environment Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 Every other weekend required Float requirement to other universal/progressive care areas within the health system Block scheduling is not available for this position Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved Requests for full weeks off between May and August will not be approved Requirements Active KY or compact RN license, in hand at time of consideration — no licensure hits of any kind will be accepted Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of experience at a Level I trauma facility Experience required in progressive care (PC), acute care (AC), telemetry, and Med/Surg 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-678206.
