Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Rich Text Editor, AdminForm_ctl01_JobDescription Rich Text Editor, AdminForm_ctl01_JobDescription Reportingto the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performs professional role functions inaccordance with scope of practice and professional standards, includingdemonstrating the knowledge and ability to use and/or lead the scope ofpractice, professional standards and accreditation / regulatory standards, scopeof practice for LVN and all othernursing personnel e.g. unlicensed assistive personnel. The RN demonstrates theability to assess their own professional role performance, current knowledge oftheory and principles related to discipline specific practice, and the abilityto use a population based approach to determine patient needs. Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation. EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE: 1. Graduate of an accredited RegisteredNurse (RN) program required. 2. Experience and/or training inleadership preferred, if acting as charge nurse. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: 1. Current license as aRegistered Nurse in the State of California. 2. Current BLS (American HeartAssociation) certification required. 3. Current ACLS (American HeartAssociation) required within 3 months ofhire. 4. Current NIHSS certificaterequired within 6 months of hire. 5. Successfulpassing of RCH basic arrhythmia course within 6 months of hire for a new gradRN and new to specialty.
