Respiratory Therapist

Job description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, ICUs, and operating rooms. This role requires a strong understanding of pulmonary function and the ability to perform critical assessments and interventions to improve patient outcomes. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the need for respiratory therapy interventions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and delivery methods. Manage airways effectively, including intubation and extubation procedures when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare teams in hospital medicine and critical care settings to develop comprehensive care plans. Monitor patients' responses to therapies and adjust treatment plans as needed based on clinical observations. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory health and treatment options. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with hospital protocols. Qualifications Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the respiratory system. Experience in pulmonary care, particularly in hospital settings such as ICU or OR. Proficiency in airway management techniques and critical care practices. Ability to assess patient conditions accurately and respond appropriately to changes. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patient education. Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) is required. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
