As a Pharmacy Technician Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and helping our community lead healthier lives. Your responsibilities will include direct patient interactions and health and wellness services while adhering to state and federal laws. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws; report any illegal activities, including theft or fraud. Follow and reinforce food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Manage ordering functions effectively with primary and secondary wholesalers. Utilize computerized inventory management to control medications, devices, and supplies. Keep workstations and waiting areas clean and organized as per departmental standards. Measure and prepare products according to best practices. Follow billing procedures to provide best value for customers and our company. Handle phone inquiries professionally and efficiently. Understand coupon acceptance policies and cash handling guidelines to minimize shrinkage. Accurately operate the cash register and adhere to cashier handling policies. Deliver a stellar customer experience while completing all aspects of medication reception, data entry, and dispensing. Assist pharmacists in their responsibilities within the bounds of your duties. Comply with HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient confidentiality. Support initiatives that promote health and wellness. Manage legend orders and Central Fill deliveries accurately. Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Effectively handle conflict and communication with customers in a positive manner. Uphold honesty and integrity when managing customer and business information. Following directions accurately while seeking help when needed to resolve issues. Provide support through direct interactions with diverse populations, including minors and older adults. Be prepared to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Meet state-specific requirements for the role. Preferred Experience: Previous relevant experience in a pharmacy setting. Experience as a pharmacy clerk is advantageous. Familiarity with EPRN systems is a plus. Compensation: $22.10 - $23.50 per hour
