We have an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Engineer to join the team with Mb Solutions Inc., a teammate company.The Chemical Engineer will: Support the advanced environmental control and life support systems analysis group.Simulate and evaluate performance of life support systems for future NASA vehicles and habitats including the Orion spacecraft and vehicles capable of lunar or Mars missions.Correlate water and air process simulation models to test resultsModel physical and chemical processes, and size equipment performing life support functions for long duration space flights.Evaluate and refine requirements for life support equipment that will support future missions.Perform other tasks assigned. Requisition Qualifications:This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area.Requires a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or in a related discipline.Capable of developing simulation models of air and water purification processes at varying levels of fidelity ranging from detailed, first-principle models to more descriptive lumped-parameter models.Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to use data to draw conclusions and support the conclusions when challenged.Excellent presentation skills.Excellent communication skills in a team environment. Requisition Preferences: Aspen software experience.Experience with dynamic chemical process simulation.Programming knowledge in one or more of the following: MATLAB, Simulink, Python, FORTRAN, C, Visual Basic.Experience with chemical processes associated with NASA life support systems.Masters or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
