Position Overview: The Product Specialist will drive the development, evaluation, and implementation of pricing strategies aligned with our product portfolio and sales strategies. This role involves conducting insightful market research and competitive pricing analysis while ensuring our practices uphold our company's reputation and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with sales, marketing, business development, and finance to position product offerings and develop pricing programs that align with our sales strategy. Conduct analysis of competitor pricing, seasonal pricing variations, discount trends, customer price sensitivity, and broader consumer spending behaviors. Verify pricing details and resolve price-related issues within our ERP system before generating delivery orders. Analyze internal pricing models to assess product costs, ensuring pricing aligns with our actual expenses and budgetary goals. Identify opportunities to monetize underutilized products and develop upsell strategies for product repositioning. Project the impact of pricing adjustments, promotions, and rebate programs on overall revenue. Manage pricing databases, ensuring accurate implementation of pricing strategies and proposals organization-wide. Monitor current and historical pricing trends for our products and competitors. Analyze and report on the impact of various programs for specific customers, keeping account managers informed of successes and growth strategies. Stay informed about trends in products, competitors, technologies, and customer needs within the assigned market segments. Perform additional duties as needed. Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of industry principles and practices, with a strong competency in all job functions. Ability to develop solutions for a range of scenarios and manage projects requiring thorough evaluation and analysis. Ability to work independently, exhibiting sound judgment and discretion while occasionally consulting on new assignments. Collaborative spirit for working with team members and management across various functions. Understanding that the decisions made in this role can significantly impact departmental and organizational success. Experience: Typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience, along with a bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge. Preferred Qualifications: Experience within the Military, Aerospace, and Defense industries. Familiarity with Ampheol, Airborn, Glenair, ITT Cannon, and TE Connectivity products.
