Summary This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for leading a team of Human Resources Generalists, overseeing the preparation of personnel action requests and monitoring the quality and timeliness of the team's work. Interpreting Federal and DoD staffing and recruitment policies while providing strategic planning and management advisory services. Duties Help As a SUPV HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT/CLASSIFICATION) at the GS-0201-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Ensures that full range of recruitment and placement advisory services are provided to Agency senior and executive management staff and that Agency management maintains regulatory compliance with all DoD appointment authorities. Leads a Team of HR Generalists in the preparation of a variety of Requests for Personnel Action and monitors the quality of work to ensure timely and accurate personnel action processing, recruitment fill time, and other actions associated with recruitment. Reviews and formulates recommendations for revision of draft qualification requirements; applies new qualification requirements; and develops DSCA staffing, recruitment, placement, and appointment guidelines consistent with Federal/DoD policies. Provides authoritative strategic planning and an extensive variety of management advisory, and consulting duties in the area of recruitment, and placement. Provides advisory services on special hiring programs to include Intergovernmental Personnel Act, National Security Education Program, Presidential Management Fellow, Direct Hire Authorities, Boren Fellow, and Schedule A and D. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: leading a team of Human Resources Generalists in the preparation of a variety of requests for personnel action; monitoring the quality of a team's work to ensure timely and accurate personnel action processing, recruitment fill time, and other actions associated with recruitment; interpreting Federal/DoD staffing, recruitment, and appointment policies and regulations; providing authoritative strategic planning and an extensive variety of management advisory and consulting duties. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
