Lead Financial Excellence for a Growing Residential Builder - Join our team as a Senior Financial Controller!Position Title: Senior Financial Controller Pay Range: $140,000 - $160,000 base salary, with total expected compensation up to $200,000 (including performance-based incentives) (Semi-monthly pay schedule) Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday Location: Las Vegas, NV Type of Construction/Work they perform: General Construction (Residential) Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting and financial management, with expertise in financial concepts, and general ledger accounting. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, preparing reports, and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of corporate accounting, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and financial report writing. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Conduct general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. Perform accounts payable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. Record daily cash disbursements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights into financial performance and support budgeting processes. Utilize Quickbooks & NEWSTAR software for efficient management of accounting processes and reporting. Lead audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required. 3+ years of experience in senior-level financial management or controller roles. Public accounting experience with one of the Big four accounting firms. Proven experience in corporate accounting or a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial concepts. Preferably public accounting from top tier accounting firm Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation and accounts payable processes. Excellent financial report writing skills with attention to detail. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders.
