Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Tyler, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,894 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: CVICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in specialty required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: ECMO experience Previous travel experience required Previous charge experience preferred Description: The CVICU Registered Nurse will work within a high-acuity unit. The average daily census is 7 patients. Patient ratios are 1:2. The nurse will float to cardiac stepdown as needed. Documentation will be performed using the Epic system. Skills required include the interpretation of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ failure. Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump, post cardiac surgery, and pulmonary artery line/swan ganz monitoring is essential. Candidates must have proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management. Experience with continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips is necessary. Care for ventilated patients and interpretation of arterial blood gases are key responsibilities. Experience in isolation precautions and PPE protocols is required. The work requires a strong understanding of nursing practices in critical and cardiac care settings.
