Role Overview: The Expert Travel Consultant position at GBT is dedicated to delivering an outstanding travel service experience for our Corporate Business Clients. As part of a high-performing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and care to our corporate travelers, ensuring a seamless travel experience through creative solutions and effective use of available technology. This position allows you to work virtually from the comfort of your home, reporting to an operations supervisor while receiving support from an operations manager. Key Responsibilities: Flexible hours of operation are available: Mon-Fri 7:30am-11:00pm ET, Saturday 9:00am-6:00pm, and Sunday 12:00pm-9:00pm. You must be adaptable to meet business needs. Act as a trusted advisor for multiple corporate accounts, demonstrating flexibility and a team-centric approach to support collective objectives. Serve as the primary point of sale for all Domestic & International travel arrangements including air, rail, car, and hotel stays, using Sabre GDS. Provide consultative advice and proactively offer additional services that meet clients' travel policies and quality assurance standards. Ensure compliance with all legal standards and training requirements. Consistently meet individual/team goals and actively contribute to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Manage the end-to-end booking process efficiently, including ticketing and order fulfillment, across various communication channels (phone, email, chat). Utilize positive telephone service techniques to address special requests, maintaining excellent client relationships. Coach and mentor junior travel consultants to promote team growth and development. Exhibit enthusiasm and uphold the company's ethics and compliance guidelines in every aspect of work. Additional Responsibilities: Investigate reservations for accuracy and address any client escalations to ensure a high level of service. Qualifications and Attributes: In-depth knowledge of fares, ticketing rules, and travel arrangements for air, rail, and accommodations. Extensive experience with Sabre GDS and in a high-touch service environment where performance metrics are critical. Strong background in business travel with a passion for delivering excellent client experiences. Exceptional professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Detail-oriented with a sense of integrity, capable of handling confidential traveler information sensitively. Ability to resolve customer inquiries independently and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with a mindset focused on continuous improvement. Capable of thriving under pressure while maintaining professionalism in various situations. Able to positively influence your team and peers. Quick learner with the ability to adapt to feedback and changes in the work environment. Solid understanding of travel trends and industry best practices. Location: United States The national base salary range for this position is between $46,200.00 - $85,800.00, based on factors like experience and role complexity. This role also includes eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and/or company performance.
