Job Full Description 1st Shift CNC Lead #8855Location: Waukesha, WI Shift: Mon - Fri (6:30am-4:00pm) Pay Rate: $20.00-$25.00p/hr Description: Operate key CNC equipment, mentor and develop CNC operators, and maintain the work area. Create, test, and optimize G-code and M-code programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, or Edgecam) for 3, 4, and 5-axis horizontal machining. Determine the most efficient manufacturing sequence, including tool selection, spindle speeds, and feed rates to maximize tool life and part finish. Design and develop custom fixture layouts and setups to secure workpieces during horizontal machining cycles. Conduct dry runs and test operations to "validate" new programs, making manual adjustments at the machine controller (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens) to ensure accuracy.
