Overview of Cardinal Health's Commercial Technologies Software Engineering Join Cardinal Health's dedicated team that manages our enterprise portfolio of commercial technologies, creating innovative strategies to enhance business value and customer satisfaction. We focus on developing both back-end solutions and improving front-end experiences to drive success. The Commercial Technologies Software Engineering team is responsible for designing effective solutions, improving processes, and maximizing performance to align with business needs. We lead engineering projects, collaborating closely with product managers to set clear objectives, assess system performance, and identify opportunities for enhancement. Your Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of Technical Leads and Solution Architects. Develop and formalize software development standards, procedures, and policies. Recommend and implement essential tools for software development and testing. Act as Solution Owner for significant technical solutions impacting the organization. Conduct innovation opportunity assessments and evaluate the viability of new initiatives (Proof of Concepts). Lead IT Assessment Evaluations for existing and prospective customers. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with established standards and practices. Proactively address and resolve issues, risks, and enhance mitigation strategies. Ensure software development teams are equipped with necessary resources for successful delivery. Identify and eliminate blockers, limit work in progress, and minimize distractions for your team. Provide leadership and mentorship to cultivate team members’ growth and performance. Your Qualifications 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred. Expectations at This Level Oversee departmental operations and supervise skilled professionals. Engage in crafting policies and procedures to achieve specific objectives. Ensure team operations align with guidelines and best practices. Make decisions that influence short-term operational outcomes. Interact with various levels of management, including senior leadership. Work collaboratively to resolve operational and project-related issues. Facilitate consensus-building among stakeholders.
