Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Senior Nurse Director will lead enterprise oncology nursing operations across outpatient and inpatient settings, ensuring safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care and top-tier outcomes at a world-class cancer center. Daily responsibilities include overseeing clinical practice standards, chemotherapy/immunotherapy safety, staffing and scheduling, budget and productivity management, quality and patient safety programs, and regulatory readiness (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS) while driving policy development, infection prevention, and service line performance. The Senior Nurse Director will partner closely with physician leaders to coordinate multidisciplinary care across infusion, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, and supportive services; conduct daily rounds and huddles, track performance dashboards, optimize patient flow and capacity, resolve escalations, and elevate the patient experience. Other responsibilities include recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating nurse leaders and teams; lead education, competency, and professional development; steward strategic and capital planning, EHR workflow optimization, and technology adoption; and use data-driven performance improvement to achieve KPIs for clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, access, and operational efficiency.
