As a Field Service Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include: Installing new equipment at various customer sites. Conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on BLM machinery. Providing top-notch customer support to ensure client satisfaction. Maintaining precise documentation of all services performed and future maintenance needs. Demonstrating BLM software capabilities to clients. Preparing timesheets and service reports accurately and on time. Tracking expenses diligently and completing expense reports promptly. Ensuring a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines. Collaborating with other departments as necessary. Being available for overtime as needed by workload and customer demands. Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager. Qualifications: We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: High School Diploma required; an Associate Degree in a technical field or comparable military experience is preferred. 2-4 years of experience in a technical position, with at least one year in customer service. Willingness to travel 90% of the time as required. Experience with Trumpf laser machines, Amada Laser, Mazak laser, or similar equipment is a plus. Licensing/Certifications: A clean driving record with no more than two minor violations in the last three years. Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong problem-solving skills are essential. You should be able to: Effectively utilize test and measurement tools. Understand technical manuals and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues. Document and communicate technical information clearly. Work independently and manage your time efficiently. Build positive relationships with customers and team members. Physical and Mental Demands: This role requires physical stamina, including lifting up to 70 pounds, and the ability to perform various physical tasks. Mental agility is crucial for analyzing and solving complex problems under time constraints. Working Conditions: The majority of your work will take place in a manufacturing environment, which may be noisy at times, alongside occasional office work. The role requires extensive travel, approximately 90%, both domestically and internationally.
