ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer to assist in the creation and maintenance of vital financial systems. You will thrive in an Agile environment, transforming complex business requirements into dependable backend solutions utilizing Java, Spring, and contemporary architectural patterns. Effective communication in English, both spoken and written, is essential for articulating ideas clearly and logically with global teams. WHAT YOU WILL DO Design and construct low-latency APIs and backend services using Java 17 to support essential systems Develop intricate data transformation pipelines capable of handling over 7 million records daily with RabbitMQ, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL Utilize GitHub Copilot and advanced AI models (Claude, GPT) to expedite innovation Create high-impact analytical tools that inform investment decisions for more than $11 trillion in customer assets Implement high-speed caching strategies with Redis to enhance system performance and response times Maintain code quality by ensuring over 80% test automation coverage and leading thorough multi-peer code reviews Oversee the production lifecycle of your services, employing GitHub Actions for CI/CD and Splunk for comprehensive system observability Establish clear API contracts using OpenAPI/Swagger for seamless integration and long-term maintainability MUST HAVES 4+ years of experience with Java (11 or higher), delivering production-grade solutions Strong expertise in the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security) Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, including query tuning and schema design Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and building high-performance RESTful APIs Documented experience with message-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar) Skilled in writing unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and maintainability Experience in Agile/Scrum environments contributing to sprint planning and peer reviews Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2 or higher) NICE TO HAVES Experience with PostgreSQL Familiarity with Control-M or similar orchestration platforms Understanding of Drools or similar Business Rules Management System Experience in performance tuning for high-volume systems Familiarity with cloud technologies Background in Asset Management, Investments, or FinTech Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment and DevOps principles and tools (e.g., GitHub, Bamboo, SonarQube, Veracode) PERKS AND BENEFITS Professional growth: Mentorship, TechTalks, and tailored growth roadmaps.
