In this role as the Manager of Software Integration and Testing, you will lead a skilled team responsible for the integration of satellite and ground systems, ensuring they work in unison to deliver mission-ready capabilities. You will engage in an end-to-end integration process that includes requirements analysis, interface design, integration architecture, testing, and automation deployment. This is a fast-paced environment where you'll tackle significant challenges in satellite communications. Your expertise in building integration frameworks and CI/CD pipelines using Python and C++ will be crucial. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of all systems for our government customers. The role is based in El Segundo, CA or Northridge, CA, and requires onsite work five days a week. We offer U.S. relocation benefits due to the technical nature of the position. Key Responsibilities: Define and lead the technical vision for software integration and infrastructure. Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of software engineers. Oversee the software integration lifecycle from architecture to deployment. Translate system requirements into effective integration strategies. Establish CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks for rapid system integration. Collaborate across engineering disciplines to resolve integration issues. Implement coding standards and best practices for development and testing. Conduct technical and program reviews to align with customer needs. Work in partnership with product and program leaders to balance priorities and execution. Provide guidance and support to engineers to foster a high-performance culture. Lead software integration efforts for various satellite and communication systems. Create and validate integration and test plans to ensure performance against requirements. Analyze test data and provide constructive feedback for improvements. Report on test results and effectively communicate issues with stakeholders. Track and manage defects and bugs to resolution. Security Clearance: Candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.). 3+ years of experience in engineering team management. 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Development. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++. Expertise in software engineering best practices, including Agile methodologies. Experience in technical product or program management. Experience with recruiting, mentoring, and managing software engineering teams. 5+ years of experience with RF and Network test equipment relevant to SATCOM communications. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of additional engineering team management experience. Strong communication skills to gather requirements and describe product features. Experience with large-scale business software design, development, and deployment. Familiarity with network design and troubleshooting. Knowledge of modern programming languages and Linux systems. Master's degree in a related field is advantageous. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively. Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills. Experience in test planning and ensuring adequate test coverage. 5+ years of experience in space vehicle/satellite operations.
