Sr. Manager, Community Programs

Your Role The Community Programs team delivers high-touch engagement with members and community-based organizations to remove barriers to care, enhance population health initiatives, and advance health equity. The Sr. Manager of Community Programs will lead community outreach initiatives that drive membership growth and retention, oversee the Blue Shield Promise Information Resource Centers (IRCs) in San Diego County, and support the management of grassroots marketing sponsorships and community investments. This role provides strategic and operational oversight of community and social programs aligned with Blue Shield Promise's goals for health equity, membership, population health, quality, member experience, and service delivery. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Community Programs. Your Knowledge and Experience Requires a college degree or equivalent experience Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience, including 4 years of people management experience Requires at least 5 years of Medi-Cal experience Requires experience designing and operationalizing care navigation and outreach programs Proven ability to build and sustain partnerships with community-based organizations, schools, health systems, and government agencies to support coordinated referrals and service delivery Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders, health plan members, providers, and the public Project management experience is a plus
