As a Pharmacy Technician Specialist, you'll be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive the care they deserve while adhering to all regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations; report any illegal activities such as theft or fraud. Maintain safety and sanitation standards according to company and health code regulations; identify and report unsafe conditions to management. Manage ordering functions with suppliers efficiently. Oversee computerized inventory management for medications, devices, and supplies, ensuring accurate control and ordering procedures. Keep workspaces and waiting areas tidy and organized, upholding departmental standards. Measure and prepare medications and products with precision following best practices. Accurately complete billing procedures to benefit both customers and the company. Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing accurate information and triaging calls as necessary. Follow company guidelines on handling vendor coupons and cash management to minimize loss. Operate the cash register in compliance with all policies, processing various forms of payment accurately. Deliver a superior customer experience while efficiently processing prescriptions and health products. Assist pharmacists with their duties, except those requiring professional judgment. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy. Support our health and wellness initiatives actively. Restock legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries appropriately. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment. Manage conflicts in a calm and cooperative manner. Handle customer and business information with integrity and confidentiality. Follow directions and seek help when needed to address customer and operational challenges. Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults. Effectively perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to manage highly confidential information responsibly. Meet all state qualifications necessary for the position. Desired Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Experience as a pharmacy clerk is advantageous. Familiarity with electronic pharmacy record systems is a plus.
