Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Automation Project Manager in the Norcross GA area. This is a full time Direct hire opportunity with a busy company. The Project Manager leads internal and external resources to deliver technically sound, high-quality automation solutions. This role balances high-level project management (scope, budget, and schedule) with hands-on technical execution and the mentorship of junior engineering staff. Core Responsibilities Project Leadership: Direct full project lifecycles-from feasibility and design to installation and CQV-ensuring all products meet client requirements and profitability goals. Technical Execution: Perform hands-on tasks as needed, including PLC/HMI programming, system design, troubleshooting, and field start-up support. Client & Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients; manage vendor procurement, contracts, and onsite installation activities. Mentorship: Supervise, train, and develop junior automation resources to support their technical growth and career paths. Business Development: Support the sales lifecycle by identifying new opportunities and developing project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules. Technical Requirements Programming: Expert-level ability to program from scratch and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation (ControlLogix/CompactLogix); familiarity with Siemens, Schneider, or Beckhoff is a plus. Information Systems: Knowledge of ISA 95 standards, SQL databases, SCADA, and MES layers. Experience with Inductive Automation is preferred. Power & Design: Proficiency in AC/DC drives, VFDs, and motor control centers. Ability to design electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and conduit schedules. Industrial Networks: Skilled in configuring and troubleshooting EtherNet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet, and Modbus. Procurement: Experienced in developing RFPs, writing purchase orders, and managing installation contractors. Qualifications & Standards Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (M.S. or MBA preferred). Certification: PMP or 3rd-party Project Management certification is required. Professional Engineering (PE) registration is a plus. Experience: Minimum 12 years in power, automation, and packaging systems within the Food/Beverage, Life Sciences, or Consumer Products industries. Performance: Expected to maintain a minimum of 50% billable utilization. Software: Proficient in MS Office 365, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Salesforce. Apply
