Key Responsibilities: Install and configure enterprise-level servers and cabling infrastructure. Manage the installation of servers including the setup of components, cabling, power-up, and transition servers to provisioning teams. Carefully handle rack removal procedures, ensuring safe disengagement of power and cable connections. Carry out hardware break/fix tasks and replace field-replaceable units (FRUs). Troubleshoot and resolve telecommunications connectivity issues. Diagnose and replace network switch equipment as needed. Communicate effectively through a ticketing system used by various Oracle Cloud service teams. Document activities and contribute to developing or updating standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber, copper, and telecom cables. Independently manage smaller projects while collaborating with your manager on larger tasks. Qualifications: Strong understanding of server, storage, and network hardware. Eager to learn new data center technologies and concepts. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. High attention to detail and thoroughness. Experience in quality assurance methodologies. Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT environment. Experience with inventory management including ordering, receiving, and shipping server components. Ability to take on-call shifts and respond promptly to critical events. Comfort in escalating issues to senior staff and management when necessary. Familiarity with IT hardware concepts, including RAID, SAN, SCSI, and Linux/Unix, is essential. Knowledge of trunk infrastructure is a beneficial bonus. Preferred Qualifications: An Associate or Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant experience. At least 1 year of experience in structured cabling (copper/fiber) and an understanding of data center cooling and electrical systems. This position is subject to a salary range and benefits specific to the US, with a hiring range between $27.07 and $54.13 per hour, translating to an annual salary from $56,300 to $112,600.
