cBEYONData + SMX is on the lookout for a skilled SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Specialist to drive a large-scale transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA for a Department of Defense client. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing end-to-end data migration strategies across various functional areas. You will be instrumental in defining migration approaches, engaging in Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) discussions, analyzing legacy data structures in ECC, and ensuring a smooth transition to a consolidated S/4HANA environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the data migration workstream across multiple SAP functional areas, ensuring accurate extraction, transformation, validation, and loading of all data objects into SAP S/4HANA. Collaborate with functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to establish migration rules, mapping logic, cleansing strategies, and data validation criteria. Design comprehensive migration plans, detailing ETL processes, conversion timelines, quality checkpoints, and cutover activities. Work alongside the Scrum Master to ensure alignment of migration tasks with agile sprint goals and delivery timelines. Act as the expert for data migration decisions, recognizing cross-module data dependencies and addressing data-related challenges. Perform hands-on data transformation and validation tasks utilizing SAP S/4HANA migration tools, including Migration Cockpit, BAPIs, IDocs, and LSMW for ECC. Engage in BPR workshops to assess existing ECC data structures and identify requirements for the future S/4HANA data model. Investigate and propose best practices for data migration into S/4HANA, focusing on data quality, cleansing, and governance frameworks. Present migrated data and conversion results to stakeholders, providing insights on aligning data structures with future state processes. Collaborate closely with technical teams to manage development objects (interfaces, conversion programs, staging environments) and facilitate a successful path to production. Required Skills & Experience: Active Secret clearance is required. Proven lead experience in SAP data migration for both ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments. At least 2 full lifecycle SAP ECC 6.0 implementations, working as a data migration or configuration lead across various modules. Minimum 2 full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations with a primary focus on data migration strategy and execution. Previous experience with Federal Government SAP programs, familiar with compliance, auditability, and DoD data standards. 10 or more years of SAP functional and configuration experience, with solid knowledge of key modules such as FI, FM, CO, SD, PP, EWM, TM, and PS. Advanced skills with SAP migration tools (SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP DMT, IDocs, BAPIs, custom conversion programs). Thorough understanding of master data, transactional data flows, and cross-module data dependencies. Strong understanding of SAP business processes (B2R, P2P, P2S, O2C) and the implications for data structures and migration logic. Experience in leading data-focused requirements workshops, mapping sessions, and validation cycles with stakeholders and functional points of contact. Demonstrated capability to resolve complex data issues through analysis, root cause determination, and innovative solution design. Experience in Agile teams and effective contributions in distributed/remote working environments. Exceptional communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work autonomously, show initiative, and uphold a strong sense of ownership and mission. Desired Skills and Experience: Experience leading or working in Agile Software Methodology teams.
