Job Description

A Registered Respiratory Therapist is needed for a fast-paced NICU setting, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the smallest patients. This contract position involves three 12-hour day shifts, providing focused, consistent scheduling to support work-life balance. Location: Cambridge, MA The position is situated in a vibrant urban area known for its rich history and world-class medical institutions. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized respiratory therapy care to neonates in the NICU environment Monitor and evaluate patient respiratory status continuously Operate respiratory equipment including ventilators and CPAP devices Collaborate closely with neonatologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient responses Educate families regarding respiratory care and support discharge planning Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is mandatory Experience working in a NICU or neonatal respiratory care setting preferred Expertise in neonatal ventilator management and advanced respiratory modalities Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities under pressure Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team This opportunity offers the chance to further develop specialized neonatal respiratory skills while supporting critically ill infants and their families.
