Part Time CDL Delivery Driver Position

Essential Functions: Customer Service Deliver exceptional customer service by applying Lowe's customer service policies and procedures effectively. Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and provide assistance in locating, demonstrating, or loading merchandise. Address customer inquiries promptly and clearly, guiding them through projects as necessary. Show genuine appreciation towards customers. Inform customers about stock availability, special orders, and product warranties. Coordinate communication regarding deliveries or contact customers to provide updates. In-stock Plan and execute delivery operations, ensuring timely delivery of orders. Prepare merchandise for delivery by accurately loading the truck following established guidelines. Inspect products for quality before loading and assist customers with loading if needed. Match items on invoices with loaded goods by verifying descriptions and model numbers. Clean and Safe Stores Ensure all loads comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Track delivery and route status using the designated systems. Unload, install, and test appliances at delivery locations. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness for all delivery vehicles and equipment. Complete necessary DOT documentation to adhere to regulations and maintain compliance. Detect and report security risks like theft and shoplifting to management. Ensure a clean and organized work environment, following housekeeping protocols. Maintain safety standards by regularly reviewing potential hazards and securing the work area. Follow all safety procedures relevant to your job responsibilities. Operate necessary in-store equipment as determined by the role and department. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Class A or B CDL License as required by vehicle type, with valid medical certification. Ability to pass MVR screening per company guidelines. Must be 21 years of age. Capability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Preferences: 1 Year of experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or driving school certification. 6 Months of in-home delivery or retail customer service experience. 3 Months of experience operating a forklift or performing vehicle loading/unloading tasks.
