Job Title: Travel Registered Dietician Location: Porterville, California Department/Unit: Dietary Salary Range: $35 to $45 per hour Shift: 40 Hours/week (8-Hour Day Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM) Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Contract Number of Positions Available: 4 Job Summary: Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dietician to join our Dietary team in Porterville, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care settings and be passionate about providing medical nutrition therapy and education to patients. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide individualized medical nutrition therapy for patients across all age groups, including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn populations. Assess nutrition risk and needs, recommending appropriate nutrition interventions tailored to each patient's condition. Provide nutrition education to patients and their families, ensuring they understand dietary recommendations and their importance. Document patient progress in the medical record accurately and promptly. Work closely with the Nutrition Services department to ensure patients receive appropriate foods as per their diet orders. Precept and coordinate learning experiences for dietetic interns, fostering a supportive educational environment. Engage with facility staff, physicians, visitors, vendors, and the general public to promote nutritional health and wellness. Qualifications: Current certification as a Registered Dietician (RD). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Experience in an acute care setting as a Dietician is essential. Familiarity with Meditech and CBORD systems is preferred. Spanish bilingual abilities are highly preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Why Join Us?
