Shipping Supervisor

We are currently searching for a Shipping Supervisor for our Dry Side Operations Team in our Veneer facility located in Emerson, Arkansas. This role will report to the site Dry Side Superintendent. As the Shipping Supervisor, you are a role model for our safety standards and effortlessly demonstrate your sound characteristics of integrity, honesty, and caring leadership. Reporting to the Dry End Superintendent, you are responsible for communicating customer requirements to the dry end, developing and leading team meetings and trainings, identifying safety, quality, and production issues, coordinating shipping activities, and taking measures to proactively address concerns. Additionally, as the Shipping Supervisor you lead the team by proactively resolving employee issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner. Key Responsibilities Plan, develop, manage, and provide effective leadership for the Shipping team Raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching, development and instilling a continuous improvement mind-set Ensure the safety of all associates and outside vendors by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concerns Effectively communicate and coordinate with maintenance to ensure all equipment is in good running order to assure consistent shipping of product Build strong relationships with sales team, transportation team, and customers displaying your ability to coordinate and communicate Accurately record and analyze daily shipping reports for quality and optimization, and inventory control of finished products Proactively resolve employee issues, build teamwork, and ensure adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner
