Controller - Manufacturing (Confidential Search) Southeast Michigan - northern suburbs of metro Detroit A manufacturing company in Southeast Michigan is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations in a hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day accounting and month-end close Responsible for budgets, forecasting, financial reports Manage project-based/job cost accounting and WIP reporting Analyze costs, margins, and variances in partnership with operations Supervise a small accounting team Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls Leverage SAP and Excel for financial reporting and analysis Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA preferred 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a manufacturing company Experience with project-based or job cost accounting utilizing POC (percentage-of-completion) accounting methodology Knowledge of IFRS a plus Hands-on SAP experience and strong Excel skills Why Consider This Role Visible Controller role with operational impact Stable manufacturing environment Opportunity to improve costing and financial processes Report to CEO, key member of management team Qualified candidates may apply to M-Team Solutions for additional details.
