Position Summary The Supplier Performance Manager is responsible for developing & executing a comprehensive approach to effective supplier performance management that ensures suppliers meet/exceed contractual obligations, scorecards, and key performance indicators - SLISC, SRPPM, PCI, WADPO. Will collaborate and support Strategic Sourcing Team on supplier selection, development, and relationship management process. SCOPE/SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION: ____ Has Direct Reports __X__ Does Not Have Direct Reports Position will report to the Division Supply Chain Manager. Will work directly with the internal staff and outside suppliers. Must have the ability to collaborate with people at a cross-functional level. Position requires the ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and suppliers. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Address performance gaps as well as improvement opportunities and work with strategic suppliers to define action plans and tracking mechanism for achieving the desired performance levels Applying best-in-class strategies and advising on strategic direction to maximize value in support of business objectives Collaborate with functional leaders on strategic supplier selection and on-boarding Lead supplier site audits/coordinate site audits with cross-functional team to determine strategic fit Development of strategic supplier selection criteria based on site audits, supplier price, quality, delivery, lean, certifications, and compliance with governmental procurement regulations Manage and report small business requirements for the division Utilizes lean manufacturing, error proofing and continuous improvement initiatives to support the supplier base by assisting in development of robust processes that assures quality products and services. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Four-year degree in business, engineering, supply chain or technical discipline. Minimum of 5 years supplier development, performance management, lean, or manufacturing experience Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business/manufacturing processes Must have advanced computer skills Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external stakeholders Must be an innovator and embrace lean principles and practices Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time Conditions of Employment This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
